SMS Notifications: Consent & Opt-In Process
This page documents the SMS consent and opt-in process used by CE OneSource across all client property portals. It is provided for transparency and to support compliance review by mobile carriers and messaging partners.
How residents and authorized users opt in
CE OneSource is a B2B SaaS platform that provides resident portals to multi-family residential properties, condominiums, HOAs, and private membership clubs. Each client property hosts a branded resident portal at ceonesource.com/{property-name}/, all powered by the CE OneSource platform and using an identical, standardized SMS opt-in flow.
When a resident, property management staff member, or authorized user registers for their property's CE OneSource portal, they can enable SMS notifications by visiting the SMS Notifications page within their account, entering their mobile number, and affirmatively checking a consent checkbox. The checkbox is never pre-checked.
The opt-in form
The screenshot below shows the SMS Notifications opt-in page as it appears inside the CE OneSource resident portal. The same form and disclosure language is used across all client properties.
Consent disclosure language
The following disclosure is displayed adjacent to the SMS consent checkbox at the point of opt-in:
I agree to receive SMS text messages from CE OneSource regarding warranty requests, work order updates, amenity bookings, package and parcel notifications, building operations and emergency alerts, and account notifications for my property. Message frequency varies based on building activity, typically 2–10 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe or HELP for assistance. Consent is not a condition of purchase or use of services.
Subcontractor and service provider opt-in
Authorized service providers (plumbers, electricians, HVAC technicians, and other trades) are enrolled by property management with the subcontractor's documented written consent. Before any work-order SMS is delivered, the CE OneSource platform sends an initial confirmation message; the subcontractor must reply YES to confirm enrollment before receiving any further messages.
How to opt out
Recipients may opt out of SMS notifications at any time by:
- Replying STOP to any SMS message from CE OneSource
- Disabling SMS notifications in their resident portal account settings
- Replying HELP for assistance, or contacting support@ceonesource.com
Data handling
Mobile opt-in data is never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. Consent records are stored securely and used only to fulfill the SMS notification service the user explicitly opted into.
